in life that will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart”
People tend to like us
if they see wonderful things in us. They will appreciate the great things found
in ourselves. It’s undeniable that we want to look good at all times to catch
people’s attention. Naturally we are attention-getting. When we are noticed, we
feel good about ourselves as well as pride for what we have or who we are. This
can be seen through the kind of personality that we have, the beauty we are enjoying,
the character that we possess, and less on the material things that we owned.
People differs, thus we have our own preferences. There are a lot of things
that we set as bases for our choices. Like for instance is being in teenage
years. In this stage, attraction to opposite sex starts. We feel the so- called
“butterflies in our stomach” and “unstoppable abnormal heartbeat” when we see
our crush in the campus. Relationships start to grow and we are able to mingle
or have a girl-boy relationship with numbers of different personalities. With
it, we are able to look for what we really want to have as a partner and what
makes us happy if we are engage in it. In the process, we do realize whom our
heart belongs to. Hence, in ourselves we are able to define what catches our
eye and what captures our heart.
Another example is the
things around us that make us a jolly person and a content one. In living our
lives, we can see beautiful and unique creations by man. Their talents would
likely to result into magnificent object that resembles the thought and inner
feelings of the artist. Those things can satisfy us and make us feel wholly.
However, there are also people who find real happiness in what they are doing.
To them a genuine merriment is not in things but it is in us. The joy it brings
to us is unending and forth going. No matter what the situation there is, as
long as you have the peace inside you..then you can be happy at all times.
According to the same people, outside force cannot change them. It cannot take
away the peace, joy and righteousness in them. Thus, they are worry-free and feel
complete through having these kinds of possessions.
To sum up, it depends
now on what catches by your naked eye and those in your heart. We might
appreciate a certain thing but we don’t love it that much as much as what we
really wanted to have for ourselves.. We enjoy seeing cool sites; however we
never long to have it on our own. The eyes do the appreciation but understanding
is in the heart of the beholder. Things that are seen may be forgotten but
those that are in our heart stays and are being kept.-jazzie
